Superfood Smoothie Ideas for Pre-, During, and Post Workout

Below are three smoothie recipes that I have mainly for pre and post workout energy and recovery. I use The Magic Bullet blender (

These smoothies are nutrient dense and well balanced, containing approximately 40grams of whole protein (containing every amino acid), quality carbohydrates and healthy fats (with omega 3). These smoothies contain highly/easily digestible protein sources. Also, they are loaded with micronutrients (minerals and vitamins).
Superfood Smoothie Recipe 1
One scoop of whey protein (I use Progressive Nutritional Therapies Harmonized Whey)
Handful of mixed frozen berries (blackberries, raspberries, strawberries)
1 teaspoon of bee pollen (for high vitamin B)
2 tablespoons of coconut oil (for healthy, quickly digested medium chained fatty acids. I use Omega Nutrition virgin coconut oil)
1/3 cup of almond milk

One scoop of whey protein (I use Progressive Nutritional Therapies Harmonized Whey)
2 tablespoons of spirulina (blue green algae, most easily digestible whole protein with high levels of vitamin A) powder. (I use Pure Planet Hawaiian Spirulina).
Handful of mixed frozen berries (blackberries, raspberries, strawberries)
1/3 cup of water

8 tablespoons of hemp seeds (I use Manitoba Harvest hemp seeds)
1 banana
1 tablespoon of maca (I use Organic Traditions maca powder)
1 handful of cacao beans (I use Organic Traditions cacao beans)
2 tablespoons of coconut oil (for healthy, quickly digested medium chained fatty acids. I use Omega Nutrition virgin coconut oil)
1/3 cup of water
During workout drink/smoothie
1 scoop of Xtend by Scivation, branched chain amino acids (with electrolytes)
1/2 teaspoon of camu camu berry (I use camu camu berry powder by Organic Traditions. It has super high vitamin C for immune system and connective tissue repair)
1/3 cup of water
